Todays topic of wonder: Is James Bond (007) a code name used by various secret agents [hence explaining the fact that Bond never ages], or is it always the same man consistently rebooted?
I like the first idea. James Bond is a code name, passed on to the top agent when the last one dies/retires.
"It should also be noted however that in Casino Royale, Solange clearly calls 007 by his name. When she is found dead later in the film M asks Bond: "Did she know anything, your name, anything that could compromise you?" Bond replies, "No." Whether Bond was lying to M is unclear."
Seems that's what the current reboot of the movies wants us to believe, although that wasn't the case in the past with the older movies [Brocolli, the original movie producer, hated this idea].
